What are the Stars of PR Awards?
The Bulldog Stars of PR Awards recognizes extraordinary individual and agency contributions to PR and communications over the past year.
What are the PR Awards?
We have just closed our 2018 PR Awards program. The PR Awards are now a combination of our Digital, Social Media and Media Relations with a number of categories for those in the Non-profit and CSR arena. These previous programs will no longer be taking place. But don’t worry, we’ve included categories from each and added new ones as well.
Is the information and financials I provide kept confidential?
Yes. We will protect your sensitive information. Our judges need information on clients, revenue or campaign cost in order effectively compare and judge submissions. However, rest assured this information will not be published or only judges and award administrators will have access to it (temporarily). Email us at email@example.com if you have any questions about this.
Will you provide extensions?
We will not extend the entry deadlines for the awards. Although we have extended award deadlines in the past, this year we will be holding firm to the early bird and final entry deadlines.
Who is eligible?
Bulldog Awards are open to PR and communications professionals around the world.
How do I apply?
You may submit an entry once an award programs opens, by creating an account and following the instructions. Be sure to remember your username and password and to bookmark the link so you can go back and edit your entries or check on your submission.
Can I create an application on behalf of someone else?
You may submit an entry on behalf of someone else, however please ensure that you submit their name under the “Application Name” question, and that you provide their address instead of yours to ensure that they receive the award if/when they win.
What are the criteria the entries are judged on?

Can I edit my entry after I submit it and pay?
You can pay before you are finished your entry by entering placeholder text in required fields. You can go back in and edit the entry until the program closes. See how to submit and then edit entries in this video – https://bulldogawards.wistia.com/medias/zp0svj4bl8.
Do I need to include any budget information?
Yes, please include the budget if asked for it as our judges need to be able to compare “apples to apples.” If it’s really a huge problem, you can specify a budget range (for instance, “under $10,000” or “$45-50,000”). A range of “$100,000 to $1,000,000” is too broad and will not be accepted. If this information is confidential, please indicate this on your summary and we will ensure this information is not published.
Can I view some past submissions to get an idea of what to submit?
We can’t share past submissions but have a look at some Winning PR stories for inspiration. These articles are a collaboration between our editor and winning firms. All winners have the opportunity to have a Winning PR story published in an upcoming edition of our Bulldog Reporter newsletter. These stories will give you an idea of what to include in your submission. Should I upload photo, video or other supporting documents with my entry?
Photos, videos, links and any other documents that support or enhance your submission are highly encouraged. These can be uploaded or linked to in your submission.
Will I received a confirmation once I have submitted my entry?
Yes! You will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org confirming your payment and your submission. If you don’t see an email within 1 hour, please email us at email@example.com
Can I edit an entry once it has been submitted?
You will be able to login and edit your entry up right up until the final deadline. If you experience any technical difficulties during submission, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll be happy to help.
May we submit one entry in multiple categories?
Yes, you can absolutely submit one entry in more than one category. In fact, we encourage you to do so! Please ensure that you use the EXACT same submission name when doing so to ensure additional entry savings! Enter during Tier 1 and save – more information on the pricing model can be found here.
May we discuss campaigns we are not at liberty to discuss externally?
Yes. Please be sure to include the word ‘CONFIDENTIAL’ in the title of your entry so that we do not reference the campaign in future materials.
Can I submit a campaign on behalf of a client?
Yes, however written proof expressing client permission is required.
How much does it cost to enter?
We’re using a tiered pricing method so you can pay early and save more! And don’t worry, you still have until the final deadline to finish your entry.
TIER 1: AUG 1 – 22
Wednesday, August 1 – Wednesday, August 22 at 12pm ET
Each entry is $300. However, if you submit the same entry in multiple categories, each additional category is only $200.
TIER 2: AUG 22 – SEPT 12
Wednesday, Aug 22 – Wednesday, September 12 at 12pm ET
Each entry is $400. However, if you submit the same entry in multiple categories, each additional category is only $250.
TIER 3: SEPT 12 – OCT 3
Wednesday, September 12 – Wednesday, October 3 at 12pm ET
Each entry is $450. However, if you submit the same entry in multiple categories, each additional category is only $300.
Final deadline: Wednesday, October 3 at 12 pm ET.
Winners announced mid-November.
What is the prize?
All winners will get bragging rights and a badge to put on their web site, emails or LinkedIn profiles. Gold award winners will receive a custom framed certificate. Silver or bronze winners can order a framed certificate (if desired) for $95 US including shipping charges.
Grand Prize winners will receive the coveted Crystal Bulldog with your winning campaign details etched onto the base. All winners will be included in a national press release detailing their award win, in the Bulldog Reporter email newsletter and on all of our social media channels. Winners will also have the opportunity to be featured in a PR PROfile, as a Winning PR story or could be selected as a featured speaker in a future Bulldog Reporter webinar.
How will I know if I won or not?
All finalists and winners will be contacted by email once each judging phase is complete.
