A wholly owned subsidiary of Digital Currency Group, one of the largest private investors in blockchain and digital asset companies, Genesis was founded upon the thesis that institutional investors and corporate treasurers need exposure to digital assets, which carry many benefits such as being historically understood as a store of value, but which have attributes that make them difficult to buy, store and manage.
